Our verdict
The HET200 is the two-station model in the hose-end timer range Rain Bird launched in March 2026, and our pick for anyone who wants nothing to do with apps. Two outlets on one faucet each keep their own program, set with a large dial and a few buttons, so a lawn sprinkler and a vegetable bed can water on different days and for different lengths of time.
Rain Bird designed the brass inlet to resist cross-threading. Schedules are flexible for a plain timer, and the buttons cover rain delays and watering on demand. What you give up is any link to the weather: skipping for rain is your job. Rain Bird’s warranty is also a refund promise rather than a repair term in years, it needs at least 15 psi where the B-hyve XD and Rachio need 10, and we have found no independent owner reviews of it yet.
Programming and everyday use
Set the clock and weekday first, then turn the dial through How Often, Start Time and How Long. Each station can water on chosen weekdays or on a cycle from every hour to every 14 days, with up to two start times a day and up to three hours per watering. Press STATION to switch between outlets 1 and 2, then turn the dial to Auto. Water Now runs an outlet on demand, for ten minutes if you set nothing or up to 72 hours, without touching the program, and Cancel Water stops a run or, when nothing is running, sets a rain delay.
Water supply, drip and winter
Rain Bird rates the HET200 for 15 to 90 psi and 5.0 to 14.6 gpm, enough by its account for up to five impact sprinklers; if you are unsure of your supply, our guide to measuring water pressure and flow shows how to check. For a drip line, its own setup puts a backflow preventer on the timer outlet first, then a pressure regulator, then the tubing adapter. Backflow requirements vary by town, so check with your water utility; our backflow preventer guide explains the options. The timer must not freeze: take it off the faucet before winter and remove the two AAA batteries, as our winterizing guide covers.
Canada and owner reviews
We found no Canadian retailer selling it under the HET200 model number, although Rain Bird’s instructions are in English, Spanish and French and carry Canada’s ICES-003 compliance mark. The only store reviews we found were written in exchange for a coupon, so we have no independent owner reports to pass on yet. For a single outlet, the HET100 has the same controls in a smaller body; for phone control, see the other picks in our best hose timers guide and every hose timer we compare.

Rain Bird HET200 2-Station Hose End Timer questions
Can each outlet on the Rain Bird HET200 run a different schedule?
Yes. Press STATION to switch outlets, then set that outlet’s watering days or cycle, up to two start times and a run length of up to three hours. Each station keeps its own program, so one outlet can feed a sprinkler every other morning while the other runs a soaker hose on chosen weekdays. A rain delay, though, applies to both stations at once.
How do I pause the HET200 for rain?
When it is not watering, press Cancel Water once and set a delay of up to 96 hours; it covers both stations. The schedule restarts by itself when the delay ends, or you can press Cancel Water again to resume early. If the timer seems to skip waterings, check for a rain delay icon on the display and make sure the dial is on Auto.
Can I use the HET200 with drip irrigation?
Yes, with the right parts. Rain Bird’s own setup guide connects a backflow preventer to the timer outlet, then a pressure regulator, then the adapter for the drip tubing. If drip flow drops over time, Rain Bird suggests cleaning debris and mineral build-up from the regulator and filter. Our best drip irrigation kits guide covers kits that pair with a hose timer.
What warranty does the Rain Bird HET200 have?
Rain Bird’s store describes a limited warranty that refunds the original buyer who returns the timer within a reasonable time. It gives no repair or replacement term in years, which is why our spec table leaves the warranty blank. Keep your receipt. Rain Bird also says to take the timer off the faucet before freezing weather, since it must not freeze.
