Our verdict
Mister Landscaper makes its drip parts in the USA, and this kit is built for vegetable rows in the ground. Its core is 100 ft of 1/4 in dripline with 0.5 gph emitters molded in every 12 in, fed from 50 ft of 1/2 in poly tubing through short 1/4 in vinyl lead-ins. Five small on/off valves let you shut off a row once it has been harvested, and the faucet end has a 150-mesh filter and a 25 psi regulator.
It is our pick for vegetable gardens because of how far it can grow and how plainly the maker sets the limits: four more kits or 100 ft rolls take it to 500 ft of dripline from one faucet, and every run length is published. Against that, there is no backflow preventer, no timer, a one-year warranty (which does cover sunlight damage, alongside a money-back guarantee) and no Canadian seller we could find. See it among our best drip irrigation kits and in the drip kit comparison.
At the faucet
Mister Landscaper prints the order: an anti-siphon vacuum breaker first (built into the faucet or added, since the kit has no backflow device), an optional metal Y, a timer if you use one, then the 25 psi regulator, the 150-mesh filter and the 1/2 in poly fitting with its locking collar. The dripline works from about 5 to 7 psi at the low end up to 25 psi at most, which is why the regulator matters. The filter is suggested for all dripline, and especially on well water. Backflow rules vary by town, so check with your water utility; our backflow preventer guide explains the devices.
Layout, limits and owners
The published limits: up to 300 ft of 1/2 in poly, single dripline runs up to 50 ft, 500 ft of dripline in all, and up to 15 ft of 1/4 in vinyl lead-in per line. Mister Landscaper advises against burying the drippers or dripline; a light layer of mulch is fine. Because the emitters are fixed every 12 in, plan the rows before you plant. We found no winter instructions for the kit; our winterizing guide covers drip kits.
We read six owner reviews on Mister Landscaper’s own store, from 2011 to 2018: too few, too old and from one seller for a summary. Three found it easy to put in, one in under an hour around existing plants. One found the fixed spacing didn’t suit a bed that was already planted, one needed thread tape on the faucet parts to stop a leak, and one needed extra stakes because the tubing kept curling. One owner a year on was still happy and had added a timer and more parts.

Mister Landscaper vegetable kit questions
Does the Mister Landscaper vegetable kit include a backflow preventer?
No. Mister Landscaper says to check that the outdoor faucet has a brass anti-siphon vacuum breaker, built in or added, before connecting the kit, and puts it first in its faucet order. Local rules for irrigation backflow vary, so ask your water utility whether a faucet vacuum breaker is enough where you live.
How far can the vegetable kit be extended?
To 500 ft of its 1/4 in dripline in total, with single runs up to 50 ft and up to 300 ft of 1/2 in poly tubing. That means up to four more kits, or four 100 ft rolls of dripline (MLD-QDT100), on one faucet. Keep each vinyl lead-in from the poly to a row at 15 ft or less.
Can I add a timer to the Mister Landscaper kit?
Yes. Mister Landscaper lists its one-zone and two-zone electronic timers and a mechanical timer as matching options. In its faucet order the timer goes after the vacuum breaker and the optional Y, and before the regulator and filter, so the regulator still sits between the timer and the dripline.
